MEGADETH Release A Video "Conquer Or Die"

MEGADETH released an official video for the instrumental song "Conquer Or Die!". The track taken from the band's latest album, "Dystopia", showcases the classical-style acoustic guitar playing of the band's Brazilian lead guitarist Kiko Loureiro.

"He plays so many different instruments, too!" MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine told Revolver magazine. "I walked into Kiko's hotel room in Japan, and there's a silver flute on his bed. And Ellefson goes, 'That was him? I thought I heard some dude shredding on the flute last night!'". Mustaine also added ""I think that Kiko has a lot of what Chris Poland and Marty Friedman were capable of doing," said Mustaine, before noting that he often vocally authored Poland and Friedman's solos.

Remembering Cliff Burton: 30 Years Departure of Metal Legend

Remembering Cliff Burton. 
30 years ago, on September 27, 1986, the metal legend passed away in a tragic accident.

During the European leg of the Damage Inc. tour in support of Metallica's third studio album Master of Puppets, before 7 am on September 27, the tour bus skidded off the road (the E4, 12 miles north of Ljungby), and flipped onto the grass in Kronoberg County. Burton was thrown through the window of the bus, which fell on top of him, resulting in his death.

Burton's body was cremated and the ashes scattered at the Maxwell Ranch. At the ceremony, the song "Orion" was played. The lyrics "...cannot the Kingdom of Salvation take me home" from "To Live Is to Die" are written on Burton's memorial stone. Jason Newsted from Flotsam and Jetsam replaced the position of Metallica's bassist until he resigned in 2001. The bassist role has since been filled by producer and studio musician Bob Rock and by the former bassist of Suicidal Tendencies, Infectious Grooves, and Ozzy Osbourne, Robert Trujillo.

Tributes from other bands
Metallica wrote a tribute to Burton titled "To Live Is to Die" for ...And Justice for All. Burton also received a writing credit for the lyrics and bass parts that were taken from unused bass recordings done by Burton which were re-recorded by Jason Newsted. A non-Metallica tribute to Burton is the song In My Darkest Hour by thrash metal band Megadeth. According to Dave Mustaine, due to hearing of Burton's death, he sat down and wrote the music for the song in one sitting. The lyrics, however, are unrelated to Burton's death. On October 3, 2006, a memorial stone was unveiled in Sweden near the scene of the fatal crash. It is located by the parking lot to Gyllene Rasten. Thrash metal band Anthrax dedicated its album Among the Living to him, as did Metal Church with The Dark.

METALLICA's launched an official video "Moth Into Flame". The video directed by Tom Kirk (MUSE), director of Photography: Josh Blackman, edited by Nick Cortes, produced by Hesper Lucent, Visual FX  by Keith Simpson, James Pina & Rowan Glenn.

[blabbermouth.net] "Moth Into Flame" is taken from METALLICA's tenth studio album, "Hardwired...To Self-Destruct", which is scheduled for a November 18 release via Blackened Recordings. The long-awaited follow-up to 2008's "Death Magnetic" consists of two discs, containing a dozen songs and nearly 80 minutes of music.

"Hardwired...To Self-Destruct" was produced by Greg Fidelman with frontman James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich. The band recorded the disc at its own studio.

Instead of a previously announced bonus disc of demos, the deluxe edition of the album will now feature a number of cover songs that the band has recorded over the past few years, including a medley of Ronnie James Dio songs, IRON MAIDEN's "Remember Tomorrow" and DEEP PURPLE's "When A Blind Man Cries".

The deluxe version will also feature a live set recorded at Rasputin's in Berkeley, California on Record Store Day 2016 and a live version of the new song "Hardwired" recorded last month at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

Logan Mader, ex SOULFLY, Release A New Video 'Eye Of Chaos' With ONCE HUMAN

Once Human releases the new video "Eye Of Chaos", band featuring former Machinehead / Soulfly guitarist Logan Mader, can be seen below. The track is taken from ONCE HUMAN's upcoming album, "Evolution", which will be released on January 20, 2017 via earMUSIC/eOne.

Mader states: "Having been focused on recording, producing and developing bands, I had not picked up the guitar out of passion for twelve years but as soon as I started writing with Lauren [Hart, vocals], I fell in love with what we were making, and I wanted to play in the band and get back on stage. Our first record was getting the ball rolling, but now it's as if we're a totally different band. We really found our sound and our identity, it's quite unique and I think what we're doing is really on fire. It's only been a little more than a year since we put out our first record, but we were so driven by the new sound that we forged that we needed to get back into the studio and capture it. It was also important to prove to people that this is a real band. It's not just a project I felt like doing on a whim, this is a band that's going to have a full career, and now we're really getting started."

MESHUGGAH Premiere 360 Lyric Video "Nostrum"

Official 360 lyric video for "Nostrum" from the upcoming eight album of the Swedish extreme tech-metal pioneers, MESHUGGAH. The album, The Violent Sleep of Reason, out October 7, 2016 via Nuclear Blast Records.

The Violent Sleep Of Reason was produced by the band and was engineered by Tue Madsen of Puk Studios in Kaerby, Denmark. The album cover was created by Keerych Luminokaya who created the artwork for "Koloss" and "The Ophidian Trek" as well as the new images for each of the seven albums and three EPs featured in the "25 Years Of Musical Deviance" box set.

EPICA Premiere "Edge Of The Blade"

Dutch symphonic metal band EPICA just released another single from their new album, The Holographic Principle; it’s called “Edge of the Blade,” and I think I like it even more than I did the record’s first single, “Universal Death Squad,” which was released in July. It’s just so catchy and… well… epic(a)! And keep in mind, I usually give zero, half a fuck tops about power metal, so the fact that these cats are two for two so far suggests that The Holographic Principle may be special. Special to Epica fans or special only to those of us who do not usually consider ourselves Epica fans, I dunno.

The Holographic Principle will be released on September 30 via Nuclear Blast.

"My Champion" The New Video From ALTER BRIDGE

The first video, "Repentless," was released 9/11/15 and has accumulated nearly 9.8 million views to date. It introduced us to Wyatt, the eyepatched rebel inmate (Jason Trost/"Hatchet III"), and a host of nefarious prisoners played by some of today's most iconic horror film actors including Danny Trejo/"Machete," "From Dusk Till Dawn", Tony Moran/"Halloween's" Michael Myers, "American Poltergeist", Derek Mears/"Predators," "Friday the 13th", Tyler Mane/"Halloween"/ Sean Whalen/"Men In Black," "Halloween II"), and Vernon Wells/"Mad Max 2," "Commando," "Weird Science"). "Repentless" was shot at the Sybil Brand Institute in East Los Angeles and has Slayer performing the song in the prison yard while a riot breaks out, blood flowing in abundance, inmates and prison guards brutally slaughtered.

From the very first frame, "You Against You," the gore, the violence, the carnage begins and just never ends. While the second video in the trilogy, it is the prequel to "Repentless," telling the story of the circumstances that led to Wyatt's erroneous arrest and imprisonment. Slayer's performance for "You Against You" was shot at a graveyard of jets, airliners and helicopters in California's Mojave Desert. "You Against You" premiered 3/16/16 and has accumulated more than 4.6 million YouTube views.

The "Repentless" video trilogy was conceived and directed by BJ McDonnell who directed the 2013 horror film "Hatchett III." His rich resume as a motion picture cameraman includes "Jack Reacher," "Tomorrowland" and "The Interview," and just wrapped filming for the upcoming "Annabelle 2."

In September 2015, Slayer released Repentless, the band's 12th studio album, the first without founding member Jeff Hanneman and first with producer Terry Date, to widespread rave reviews and the highest chart debut of the band's career. The band - Tom Araya/vocals & bass, Kerry King/guitars, Paul Bostaph/drums and Exodus/Slayer touring guitarist Gary Holt - has toured near-non-stop since the album's release, and heads out on the road starting September 9 with a seven-week North American trek. This fall, Dark Horse Comics will publish a three-issue comic book series based on McDonnell's original concept for the "Repentless" video trilogy and written by Jon Schnepp. In addition, October will see the release of Slayer's "Cradle To Grave" BMX Bikes/Subrosa four-bike collection. Comprised of the Slayer Balance, Slayer 20, Slayer 26 and the Slayer Urban Terrain Bike, all are intended for BMX riders to "use and abuse."

TESTAMENT Launch "Brotherhood of the Snake" (Official Lyric Video)

TESTAMENT launched "Brotherhood of the Snake", the official lyric video from the upcoming album of the same title, out October 28th, 2016 via Nuclear Blast.

"The Brotherhood Of The Snake" was recorded and produced by the guitarist Eric Peterson, singer Chuck Billy, and Juan Urteaga (EXODUS, HEATHEN, MACHINE HEAD),  and was mixed and mastered by British metal producer Andy Sneap (ACCEPT, ARCH ENEMY, CRADLE OF FILTH, KREATOR, MACHINE HEAD, MEGADETH).

The cover artwork was once again created by Eliran Kantor, who has previously worked with ATHEIST, SIGH, ANACRUSIS and GWAR, among others.
